CONFERENCE SPEAKER
Since 2022, Mr. Myron O. Knight has served as the Personnel Program Manager for the 448th Supply Chain Management Wing (SCMW) at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. In this role, he leads a newly established office focused on analyzing workforce trends to drive positive change across the entire 448 SCMW enterprise, which includes Hill Air Force Base (Utah), Robins Air Force Base (Georgia), and Tinker Air Force Base.
Mr. Knight's impactful leadership has resulted in:
Improved Communication and Collaboration: He established "Speak Up, Speak Out," a safe platform for all 3,000 448 SCMW personnel to share ideas and experiences. This initiative proved particularly vital during the COVID-19 pandemic, keeping the workforce connected while teleworking. Since its inception, the program has seen participation from personnel in 31 external organizations and boasts a 55% attendance rate among 448 SCMW personnel.
Enhanced Supervisor Engagement: In 2024, he created a collaborative environment for supervisors to develop professional skills related to workforce management, achieving an 80% participation rate among 290 supervisors.
Increased Employee Feedback and Idea Sharing: Mr. Knight implemented an anonymous "Idea Box," achieving a 95% closure/response rate for submitted suggestions. He also leveraged technology like Slido to improve feedback anonymity, resulting in a 580% increase in average survey responses.
Fostering a Culture of Inclusivity and Excellence: He conducted training on Emotional Intelligence, Unconscious Bias, Psychological Safety, Ethical Drift, and Leading in Virtual Environments for all 448 SCMW personnel. Additionally, he established a conflict resolution program and a mentoring initiative connecting GS-11 and below with GS-12 and GS-13 personnel to foster growth and knowledge sharing.
Mr. Knight's contributions extend beyond the 448 SCMW, as he regularly briefs Wing, Group, and Squadron calls across the enterprise and provides updates on initiatives and workplace trends to senior leadership during Wing Transformation Boards. He actively recruits top-tier personnel for planning committees, demonstrating his commitment to collaborative leadership.
